It's a sad morning for fans of The Big Bang Theory. The TV comedy's series finale aired last night, making it the longest-running multi camera comedy series in television history (279 episodes). But there IS good news for fans of the show.
Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Howard, Raj, Amy, and Bernadette's costumes will all join the National Museum of American History's collection of objects from other iconic television series.
"A program with an audience this large is certain to have a sizeable cultural footprint, impacting the ways American is seen by itself and the world," explains entertainment curator Eric Jentsch.
Stay tuned - a date for the exhibit has not yet been announced. And be sure to check out how other school groups have incoprorated the Museum of American History into their trips by browsing our sample itineraries and reading our SCHOOL TRIP SPOTLIGHT: Museum of American History.
