SCHOOL TRIP SPOTLIGHT: The U.S. Capitol

The Capitol building is rightly  ca lled the te mple of American democracy.  The home of the legislative branch offers an excellent guided tour and its steps are the perfect backdrop for group photos and selfies. 
 
For  some, it’s the highlight of their entire school trip to Washin gton, D.C.

On a class trip to D.C., there is no place which inspires more humility and  awe than the burial ground at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC). Here the nation has lain-to-rest more than 424,000 servicemen and women in honored glory. It is here that groups come to connect with an understanding of America’s hard-earned freedom.

NationsClassroom Supports Mount Vernon Repairs to East Lawn Following Mudslide

A major section of the East Lawn at Mount Vernon suffered structural damage following severe rains in early August. NationsClassroom is happy to support efforts to raise funds needed to restore and maintain this scenic treasure.

 
Parts of the wall between the Mansion and the river collapsed under the pressure of a mudslide that resulted from heavy down pours. Financial contributions are being collected to help fund repairs to the lawn and support structures overlooking the Potomac River that were eroded.
