Office Coordinator (Base Camp Guru)

Overview

If you like routine, then this position is not for you. The job title is 'Base Camp Guru', but it's really a multi-faceted juggling position. Part reception, part office support, and part tech support. Each day will be different, but the goal is always the same - to keep our office, Base Camp, well stocked and running smoothly.

 

What We’ll Expect - Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with customers (via phone and/or e­mail)
  • Tracking data and developing reports
  • Managing office inventory and supplies
  • Manage shipping and receiving (mail, couriers, deliveries, etc.)
  • Monitor shared email inboxes for actions and problem solving
  • Maintain office organization
  • Ensure new employees have a workspace prepared for their first day
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, including snack cart, holiday celebrations, birthdays, etc.
  • Maintain office decor and change according to the season or holidays
  • Order background checks
  • Other duties as requested to support achieving our team objectives
  • Some extended hours during peak travel season (March through June) may be required

  • A personality that is customer service oriented
  • A patient and flexible attitude -­ constant interruptions will happen
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Well ­developed problem solving and organization skills
  • A proven ability to multi­task and accomplish to­dos in a fast­paced environment while understanding the bigger picture.
  • Be inquisitive and interested with the confidence to ask questions to gain clarity and understanding
  • The ability to set and achieve priorities in ways that are consistent with our core values
  • A team player who genuinely supports team members through actions and words
  • Be personally motivated, seeking to improve and accepting coaching as a means to develop your career
  • The willingness and ability to help out in emergencies if needed, which may be outside office hours.
  • Bachelor’s degree is not required but a positive, energetic outlook and the ability to have fun is important!
