Ford's Theatre Honors Lincoln with Student Performances

Lincoln in GettysburgIn honor of Abraham Lincoln's birthday, students from 3rd through 8th grade classrooms across the metro D.C. area will be performing a selection of his most historic speeches on the historic Ford's Theatre stage.


The Lincoln Oratory Festival highlights local D.C. public school students.  The show on February 4th will feature students in grades 3-5, and the show on February 5th will feature students in grades 6-8. 


Tickets are free to the public.  The show is recommended for children and adults of all ages and  the showtime is approximately 1.5 hours.

Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. first opened its doors in 1863 and is perhaps most known for being the site of the assasination of President Abraham Lincoln on April 14, 1865,
